Anyone who serves in an auxiliary should be a person of good character and full of the Holy Spirit. There is no greater thing in life than to work for Jesus and his kingdom. We are all called to salvation and to service (Matthew 16:14). The auxiliaries at FBCOB provide opportunities for everyone to work and to serve (Ephesians 2:10). Hence, each auxiliary/ministry must play a role in advancing the church’s goals and objective. As there are many roles to play in the church, no one person or group can do everything. No one receives all the gifts and while some may be blessed to have more than one, the ultimate purpose is service for the kingdom.Įach auxiliary is a ministry designed to help the church achieve its spiritual and service missions in Jesus Christ. The Lord anoints his people with a variety of gifts (hospitality, singing, serving in the Word, deacons, etc.) so that they may build his kingdom and support and bless the people of God (1 Corinthians 12 and 1 Corinthians 14). No one person or group should bare sole responsibility for the work of the church. They allow for the sharing of leadership responsibilities (Exodus 18:1-27). The auxiliaries are the ministries of the church. Learn more about our ministries Ministries
